A New Way to Learn
A new beginning
For years, I along with most all other instructors in this game, have had the desire to improve golfers skill level. But as someone who has been in and the out of the game for a while, I got to see what students are dealing with. Work, family, other hobbies and commitments. These all take up a great deal of time. So when I set out to develop my own coaching programs, I wanted to find a system for a player to navigate this game in a simple and clear manner. Not to just learn a mythical perfect golf swing, but rather a way to systematically analyze and build a wholistic game.
It culminated in The 9 Principles of Golf. It is my way of focusing and organizing a player on their plan of attack on the improvement of the game of golf. Over the next few posts, I intend to lay out what you need to do in order to become the player you know in your heart you can be.
There are 3 levels of learning and each has 3 main components. You may be a beginner and this may seem overwhelming. I plan to make it simple to get to a level of proficiency sooner rather than later. Or you may be an experienced player, stuck (or even regressing) in your current game who needs to analyze and assess which parts are deficient so you do not just navel gaze on your backswing when the reality is that you need to improve your ability to control the direction of your shot.
Either way, I am building a framework to make your game wholistically stronger through building
your PHYSICAL SKILLS to swing the club consistently
your FUNDAMENTAL SKILL APPLICATION to understand and better control the 3 fundamentals of golf and finally
the STRATEGIC APPLICATION of actually playing golf.
